Elephant Point is an opportunity to make the African bush experience your very own with scenic views of the Sabie River and Kruger National Park. 

 

The spacious thatched lodges with rich African tone textures and stone cladding features will blend unobtrusively into the environment.

 

The immediate area surrounding Elephant Point is a well-known for its Big 5 game viewing with an especially high density of leopards. In addition, more rare animals such as Black Rhino and Wild Dog can also be found in the region.

 

 

The property takes its name from the large number of Elephants resident in the region and often seen drinking on the banks of the river alongside the resident hippos and crocodile which guests can view all of this from the comfort of their lodges. 

 

The famous elephant bull "Mandleve" which translates as "Ear or Torn Ear", one of the famous Magnificent Seven lived out his days along this section of river, He died in the Kruger National Park close to Elephant Point. His long tusks weighed about 150kg, being heavier than any of the famous Magnificent Seven.

 

 

This beautiful location is an exceptionally nice area for birders. In addition to the resident Fish Eagles and the nesting White Backed Vultures, you will find the African Finfoot, Crowned Hornbills, Trumpeter Hornbills, Bat Hawk and White Backed-Night Heron. The Sabie River also forms a very important port of call for paearctic migrant birds.
